Leading our team is Estate & Wealth Planning Attorney Lisa Haster, Esq., who brings a fresh, unique approach to estate law. With a strong background in courtroom litigation, Lisa has spent 15 years representing families, individuals, and businesses. Her top priority is keeping clients out of probate court because she knows firsthand how unpredictable the courtroom can be.
Lisa specializes in Estate Planning, Wealth Planning, Business Succession Planning, Asset Protection, Special Needs Planning, and Uncontested Probate. Her credentials are impressive: chairing bar association groups, serving on expert panels, co-authoring asset protection laws, lobbying legislators, and educating fellow attorneys as a keynote speaker at legal seminars. She’s also authored several books, including The Ultimate Guide to Protecting Your Family from Uncle Sam, Opportunists, Uncertainty & Probate, and contributed to numerous legal publications.
Lisa earned her Doctorate of Jurisprudence from William Mitchell College of Law in 2001 and completed advanced certification in contracts and trust law from Harvard University in 2020.
Brandon Thorp

Brandon is the CEO of Metropolitan Law Group. He brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the firm, having spent over a decade working as an operations consultant. With a passion for helping others and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by clients, Brandon is committed to ensuring that every client receives exceptional service and support.
Throughout his career, Brandon has developed a reputation for his strategic thinking, attention to detail, and ability to build strong relationships with clients. He is dedicated to ensuring that Metropolitan Law Group remains at the forefront of the legal industry, and is constantly exploring new ways to better serve our clients.
In addition to his work at Metropolitan Law Group, Brandon is actively involved in his community. He believes strongly in giving back and making a positive impact on the world around him.
When he’s not working, he enjoys reading, cooking, spending time with his 2 dogs, exploring the great outdoors.
Jodi Dybsetter
Paralegal
Jodi Dybsetter is a dedicated paralegal with a passion for helping overworked attorneys. She founded her business with the goal of providing legal support services that allow attorneys to focus on the work only they can do, freeing up more time for them to enjoy life outside of work.
Jodi understands the importance of work-life balance and believes that everyone should have the opportunity to make memories with loved ones. She is a proud mother of a 9-year-old daughter and loves nothing more than going on road trips, baking, and spending quality time with her. Jodi is also an avid hiker and enjoys taking trips with her boyfriend, exploring new trails and scenery.
When Jodi is not busy at work or spending time with her family, she enjoys taking her dog for walks and appreciating the natural beauty of the outdoors. With her unwavering commitment to her clients and her passion for helping others, Jodi is a valuable asset to any legal team.
